Hennig Olsen

Hennig-Olsen Is is the oldest ice cream producer in the Nordic countries. Sven Hennig-Olsen went to Chicago as a young man. He learned to make ice cream the way the professionals did in the USA. When Sven returned home to Kristiansand in 1924, he brought with him equipment to make ice cream, a book full of recipes, and great ambition and determination. Today, the “Cream of ice cream” is produced in the beloved ice cream factory, which is run by Sven’s grandchildren.
